Is my contribution tax-deductible?
No. Tye Chua Dance is a privately operated dance school and is not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions to Tye Chua Dance are not tax-deductible charitable donations.
Can I choose how my contribution is used?
Yes. When making a contribution, you may direct your support to our General Fund, Tuition Support Fund, or Pointe Shoe Fund.
Contributions designated for the Tuition Support Fund or Pointe Shoe Fund are reserved for those purposes. General Fund contributions are used where they can have the greatest impact across the school and company.
What does the General Fund support?
The General Fund supports the spaces, resources, productions, and artistic opportunities that make Tye Chua Dance possible.
Funds may be used for studio construction and maintenance, specialized sprung flooring and dance surfaces, theatre rental, costume creation and repair, guest artists, master classes, production expenses, equipment, and other investments in our dancers and programs.
Can I help a specific dancer with tuition?
The Tuition Support Fund provides assistance to students based on need rather than being designated for a particular dancer.
If you would like to contribute specifically toward the tuition of a dancer you know, a Tye Chua Dance gift card can be applied directly to that student's account.
Can I support a particular project or need?
Absolutely. If you are interested in supporting a specific production, studio improvement, specialty flooring project, costume need, guest artist, master class, tuition assistance, or another initiative, please contact us before contributing.
We would be happy to talk with you about the project and how you would like your contribution to be used.
